As breeders of Arabian & Half Arabian/Appaloosa horses and Jackapoos we are always looking for ways to improve what we do. A Jackiepoo is a new Poodle cross that we started in 2017 based on one female dog by the name of Jacqueline or "Jac." We are very particular about any new blood that we bring into our program but were so impressed with Jac's beautiful conformation, affectionate personality and obedient, willing to please, trainable temperament that we made her a part of our program, when her owners needed to re-home her due to their new living circumstances.
So what is a Jackiepoo? A Jackiepoo is a blending of the following breeds: Poodle, Parson Russell Terrier (or Jack Russell Terrier or Russell Terrier), Chihuahua & American Staffordshire Terrier. Each of these breed's brings something very good to the blend:
Poodle: Exceptionally Intelligent, excels in obedience training (willing to please), very low shedding/hypoallergenic,
Parson Russell Terrier: Bold, friendly, athletic, funny/clever
American Staffordshire Terrier: Intelligent, confident, people oriented, natural clowns, good with children & pets, broad head, substance of bone & low shedders.
Chihuahua: Graceful, charming, sassy, small size, low to minimal shedding

Jac's first litter (6 puppies) by Kaspian, was phenomenal and the response from the new owners has been overwhemingly POSITIVE!
Because the Jackiepoo (like the Jackapoo), is a blending of more than one breed, the puppies in a litter are all little "individuals" similar to the siblings in a human family. There may be some familiarity but each one has it's unique look. Our goal is to produce the best family dog possible and we are extremely excited about the future of the Jackiepoo!
